I am using a combo WiFi/Bluetooth 4.2 PCIE card for the bluetooth signal. Connecting via a USB C cable fixes the issue, but the point of the controller is its wireless functions. After reconnecting the game will not recognize any inputs from the controller, making it impossible to play via bluetooth. When playing Squadrons, it will work when starting the game and navigating through menus, but as soon as a level loads the bluetooth will disconnect, the Xbox button will flash several times, and then the controller will reconnect. It works fantastic over bluetooth on every game but Squadrons. I just bought one of the new Series X controllers to use on my PC.
The wired connection still works fine.ĮDIT: As suggested by u/bboarder864, I updated to Intel Bluetooth driver version 22.0.0.2 which seems to have fixed the issue so far. I ordered the wireless adapter to see if that works. Hope this helps some people.ĮDIT 2: The problems are back. My adapter did not work at all until the driver was installed and I restarted.
If you do get the adapter, you will likely need to download the driver for it, which is available through Windows update once the adapter has been plugged in. This is very noticeable when playing something like Rocket League.
Input latency vs the Bluetooth 4.2 connection I was using is much better as well. The controller no longer disconnects and is also recognized by the game when the controller is turned off and back on. >!Spoilers go here!<ĮDIT 3: I just got the XBOX Windows 10 adapter and it has fixed all of the issues I was having.
